I'm not a fan of this 'marquee signing' bollocks. We never pay top dollar and anyway our forward signings have generally been shite, you only have to look at that article regarding our signings on the BBC football website to see that.
If you have enough money you buy the best, but for me isn't it better to have someone come up through the youth system like we used to, or find some 'gem' in the lower leagues, such as MacAvennie all those years ago?

I'm with Jose in regards to Martial.
He never overly impressed me when I saw him for Monaco so was surprised when Man Utd paid so much for him.
I mean he's obviously not shit, but he'll never be a world beater for me personally.
Just really want a top drawer striker, but it's probably the hardest position to fill.
